HOW I HELP
INTEGRATED
Growth
A compelling proposition should shape where a business competes, help sales teams win and turn marketing into qualified opportunities. I enjoy turning that thinking into tangible commercial results.
01
A proposition worth choosing
Clarify the customer problem, establish the product's value and give buyers a compelling reason to choose it.
02
A go-to-market plan teams can execute
Turn the proposition into clear priorities, effective launches, messaging and sales tools that help win business.
03
Marketing that generates pipeline
Build focused programmes that create demand, open sales conversations and generate qualified opportunities.
SELECTED WORK
Examples of proposition, go-to-market and demand generation in practice.
PROPOSITION & POSITIONING

An established B2B software business had developed a sophisticated analytics platform, but its positioning hadn’t kept pace. Customers still associated it with basic reporting tools, leaving sales teams to explain complex capabilities rather than lead with commercial value.
I led the repositioning and developed the go-to-market programme to support growth:
Positioning: Rebuilt the proposition around customer needs, translating complex analytics capabilities into a clearer commercial narrative.
Sales Enablement: Refined ideal customer profiles, tightened qualification criteria and developed discovery tools to support enterprise sales conversations.
Demand Generation: Built targeted acquisition campaigns and nurture programmes to engage priority buyers and generate qualified opportunities.
The outcome: Improved sales qualification, stronger engagement with enterprise buyers and a more repeatable pipeline of new-business opportunities.

Message
An established retail-media business had developed significant technology and expertise through its relationship with a major UK retailer. But it lacked a clear proposition, a structured portfolio of services and the sales enablement needed to take its capabilities to international markets.
I built and led the division’s product marketing team to support international growth:
Proposition development: Defined the commercial value of the retail-media platform for retailers, brands and agencies, alongside consultancy-led service propositions.
Sales enablement: Catalogued products and services, created sales materials and demonstrations, and trained international teams to sell the portfolio.
Product launches: Led positioning and launch planning for the end-to-end platform, establishing a repeatable approach for introducing new capabilities and services.
The outcome: A defined commercial proposition, a structured portfolio and equipped international sales teams, supported by an established product marketing function and repeatable launch model.
DEMAND GENERATION

A specialist cybersecurity business wanted to grow internationally and move beyond one-off service sales. It needed a stronger portfolio, a more structured approach to customer acquisition and better ways to develop recurring revenue from existing clients.
I developed the portfolio and commercial programmes to support sustainable growth:
Portfolio development: Identified new service opportunities and developed bundled propositions designed to encourage longer-term customer relationships.
Sales enablement: Managed pipeline qualification and enquiry routing, trained sales teams and introduced tools to improve conversion and account expansion.
Demand generation: Strengthened market positioning, achieved leading organic search visibility and ran quarterly campaigns supported by customer nurture and renewal programmes.
The outcome: Helped triple closed sales revenue, growing the portfolio into a multi-million-pound business with a stronger foundation for recurring growth.

WHAT I’M LIKE TO WORK WITH
I ask questions, challenge assumptions when needed and try to make complicated decisions clearer. I enjoy working across teams and helping people develop confidence in their own judgement.
Outside work, I’ve hiked across North America and Alaska, taught English to children in Nepal, climbed Kilimanjaro and spent a year travelling with my wife while studying travel photography. These days, most of my spare time is spent with my family, our dog or on a bike — road, gravel or downhill.
“His desire to translate technical use cases into practical value drivers that anybody can understand stood out. This is the first time I can honestly say I have worked in partnership with Marketing — a common goal and shared objectives.”
